Convictions – what do you deeply believe?

I’m working on this week’s sermon and thinking about convictions.

I’m looking for examples of convictions that you have. What are some things that you deeply believe?  They don’t all have to be serious either!

Some of my convictions:

1) That I am a better husband, father, pastor, and friend when I am well-rested, and fully surrendered to the leadership of Jesus

2) That success is the result of planning, hard work, and deep faith

3) That the toilet should flush when I’m at company’s house (There’s a story behind this one…)

 OK, it’s your turn…

  1. 1. It’s all about Jesus!

    2. Marriage is intended to be two becoming one flesh and remain so, and I madly love and appreciate the number one guy who sticks with me.

    3. People are more important than things.

    3. loss is inevitable, be ready for it.

    4. Never, Never trust 3 boys who say…. It’s ok MOM!!

  2. Paul,

Hey, what’s up? There ae a lot of things that I firmly believe. One of them being that you need to scratch the “me owing your family a pizza I don’t weigh 170 thing”. Barring a miracle, I’ll never see 170 again. (Sob) Especially if you keep having kids…by the way congrats on the newly expected one.

  3. My convictions:

We all know right from wrong; It is which route we choose that defines who we are.

In the end, the only relationship that will matter will be the relationship between you and God. However, that relationship is built by how you define your relationships with those around you while you live.

In order to bring joy to yourself, you must bring joy to others. The best way to do this is to be selfless in everything that you do.

Actions speak louder than words, except when your words tell of deep-rooted emotion that, for whatever reason, is impossible to act upon.

There are only five things that you cannot buy with money:
    -*true* love
    -fulfillment
    -legacy
    -wisdom
    -patience
