Last night’s board meeting

We’ve got a really cool board here @ Northgate! One of the things that we are currently wrestling with is how to move beyond the 1,000 mark. There are four transitions that need to take place in order for this to happen.

1) The role of the pastor

2) The role of the board

3) The role of the staff

4) The role of the congregation.

Last night we talked about the leadership/administrative structure in a large church. Here are the notes from the teaching. These are my personal teaching notes so don’t be critical!

In case you’re interested, here are the notes from the teaching I did on how the role of the pastor will change in a large church. Again, these are my personal teaching notes so some of this stuff might not make sense (I tend to do that sometimes!), but the big picture is pretty easy to get.

Here is a chart that we’ve been looking at from Gary McIntosh’s book One Size Doesn’t Fit All.

OK, that’s enough for now… I’ve got an appointment!
