Being a parent is one of the top three coolest things in my life (behind being a child of God, and husband of Sherri!)!
“The Ladies” have such different personalities and we’re always working to find the most appropriate methods of discipline for each based on their individual personalities.
Recently, for Reagan, standing in the corner has been effective for certain “felonies.”
It is amazing how little people pick up and pass on lessons that we teach/impose on them!
This a.m. Sherri sent me a picture of Dora and Boots (if you don’t know who they are… you are blessed!) in the corner! Obviously they were in trouble!
God, help me to pass on to “The Ladies” only those things that will be worth their passing on to others.”

This is awesome.
First of all, I know Dora and Boots. I know them well.
Secondly, we are struggling with finding ways to effectively discipline our children (not in a grotesque or mean way, but in a way that imparts wisdom and brings honor to our Father).
My kids are 3 and 2 (and I have a 4 month old, but we don’t discipline him!)…so, any ideas would be appreciated. May try the corner thing.
This is great! It makes me think of when my now almost 15 year old was little and saw a mother spanking her child in a store and he said (very loudly of course) while pointing to the mother, “Momma, dat not a-po-pi-ate”…
(Translation “that’s not appropriate”)..Funny how that mother stopped in her tracks…nothing gets by kids!!!
I think Dora got sent to her room for whining by the two year old parent in my house the other day!
Haha..that is awesome. I noted 2 books in the sidebar. You are going to love Velvet Elvis! I bought, but have not read “Prayer” yet. I’m currently reading “Where is God When It Hurts” by Yancey. It’s an amazing book as well.
