That whole next step of membership or building connection is really critical to getting to step three, service. To move the visitor or newbie to the faith into the community, they must know what is coming. You mentioned several but not all of the one anothers from the NT. The more simple approach is LOVE God, LOVE your neighbor as yourself, MAKE DISCIPLES. The big three, summarized by the Great commandment(s) and the Great Commission all rolled into one!
