This weekend we are talking about Jesus… the Risk Taker!
Think about it… He took a HUGE risk when He left Heaven to pursue the lost!
He chased after me, you, and St. John says, “The whole world.”
I love the fact that Jesus took a risk… He risked everything for the hope that you and I would say “Yes” to Him! (John 1:1-18)
Have you said, “Yes” to Jesus?
Are you fully surrendered to His will for your life?
Are you ready to step out and pursue His call for your life following His example… a risk taker?

It is about time you Blogged!!!! We were having withdrawls! Hope you had fun this weekend!! Welcome Back!
Paul,
Risk taking sounds like change. Did Jesus take a “risk” since he was God in flesh dwelling amongst men? He certainly challenged the status quo. He certainly instituted new or enlarged ways of dealing with the law (you have heard… but I say to you…). He came to fulfill the law and do the will of the Father. That’s inside the managed risk category isn’t it?
Risk is also a table game. You know “world domination, one country at a time”. That sounds like Jesus too! Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, uttermost parts… Jesus certainly didn’t build a convention center and healing clinic in town and wait for them to come (you know ala Field of Dreams). He was out and about and up in the face mask of the religious suits of his day. He took some credibility risks and some physical risks, but God knows no risk. Ah the tensions of incarnation!
Looking forward to those sermon feeds!
