Time management plan

A few things that help me capitalize on “spare” moments…

Every morning develop and “pack up”:

  •  a list of calls to make (names and numbers)
  • a book to read
  • a prayer to pray
  • a problem to solve

Whether you’re waiting for someone at a restaurant, waiting in the Doctor’s office, or stuck in traffic you can always take advantage of these “spare” moments with the above tools!

One more thought…

What happens before 7 determines what happens after 7!

When you start your day early you get the most out of it!

Don’t miss the value in the “spare” moments!

  1. Good ideas that definitely work. I also make lists with 1)things that have to be done right away 2)things that need to be done but can wait and 3)things I would like to do but don’t have a deadline. Usually if I had a choice I want to do #3 but then I’m stuck on time and running to catch up on all the #1′s and #2′s I put off!! It also lets me see that if I’ve checked off all the #1′s, I don’t always have to be doing something on the list and can actually stop and relax or do something spontaneous and unplanned in those spare moments!!

Another thing I struggle with is ‘chipping away’ at bigger projects during spare moments. I always think I need to set aside a huge amount of time and do the whole thing at once–many times can get a lot done in little pieces, once I think of it this way.
