I picked up a book yesterday that I can’t put down! The Rogue Warrior by Richard Marcinko is the story of the founder of SEAL team Six… an elite counter-terrorism unit founded by Marcinko.

This is a man’s read! It makes me want to run through the jungle and jump on someone after I’ve swam across a river to reach the jungle! If your testosterone levels aren’t surging as you read this book… you’re a woman!

Seriously, before giving my life to Christ my single dream was to be a soldier. I started out on the path to that dream, but God sidelined me in an accident in which He broke my knee. I received a medical/honorable discharge from the military as a result of my broken knee. Consequently, I can never be a soldier again. Never.

I have this burning in my heart. A desire to conquer, a desire to expand territory, a desire to do things that others will look on and say… “What the heck is he thinking?” A desire to honor my Leader, a desire to cut through the “underbrush” and make it safe for others to follow… maybe that’s why I’m on this journey to be a church planter ’cause all of these desires are being fulfilled! It’s crazy and I’m only a little bit into it!
