The house

Today we’re having an open house at our house in NY.

It’d be nice to sell this puppy!

Hey, Sherri and I have been talking about the “stuff” that we call “ours.” We’ve really changed how we think about “our stuff.”

Scriptures like this have really helped to change our thinking.

The other day Sherri said something that made a lot of sense to me (this happens frequently). She said, “If God wants to spend His money paying for a house we’re not living in then it’s okay. We just need to trust Him.” Dang… that girl can PREACH!

Our “take” now is, we will manage carefully what has been entrusted to us. God called us to New York and He has called us to plant a church. He has always taken care of us and He will continue to do so. Our job is to hear Him, obey Him, and then trust Him with the “stuff” of life… after all it’s His!

So all of this to say, please pray that the house sells and that either way we continue to learn how to be better managers of the “stuff” that God entrusts to our care.

Thanks for traveling with us on this journey!

  2. You know, our message this morning was about giving tithes and such, along with “Everything is God’s”. I am going to go out on the “trust” limb, and see what happens.

    Amen!

  3. Who knows, maybe God will call you back to Pembroke to plant a church there, and that’s why he’s “holding” this house for you?????? You never know with Him!!

We’ll definitely pray that His will be done, whatever that may be!!

At least your lawn will look lovely for the open house!!

    Miss you guys!

  4. Since you haven’t blogged about it yet, I’m going to ask you. How did the open house go? Did you get any people to walk through the house? Any bites?

Again, the lawn still looks really nice!!
