OK, I was going to title this post, “What in hell are churches doing” but Sherri (my wise wife) cautioned me against it.

I’m fired up! I’ve been doing research this morning including demographic studies for possible locations to start a new church.

I am blown away by how many churches there are and yet such seemingly MINIMAL kingdom impact! Someone may say, “You don’t know what kind of impact they are having.” I say, “Oh yea? Just watch the news!”

Jesus said that the gates of hell would not overcome the church but it would appear that the church has quite a bit of work to do in order to align herself with her Leader’s expectations.

Jesus, please forgive us for forgetting what we’re here to do, fighting with each other over how we do it, and focusing on ourselves often to the exclusion of those who do not know you.
