Let’s take it one step further to a broader view. Just as action speaks louder than words (and may be more truthful), words may be an inclination of who someone is working to be (while their actions are betraying this intention).
I’m not saying to believe everything you hear with no “proof.” But if someone is honestly struggling/trying, their words may not yet be backed up by action. Only by being supported can their new reality, their new self, manifest.
How does what we say, and how we say it, relate to our kids and who they are becoming? I have been failing lately at keeping my cool. I have raised my voice more than I would like, and I am not proud of it. I know this is a bit of a digression from the “Romeo” idea, but it is very important to me.
