I read some great stuff on John Piper’s blog this morning. I found these words particularly insightful:
“[God ]want us to increasingly find freedom from fear.
You see, real freedom is not the liberty to do what we want, or even the absence of distress. Real freedom is the deep-seated confidence that God really will provide everything we need. The person who believes this is the freest of all persons on earth, because no matter what situation they find themselves in, they have nothing to fear.”

I like to read John Piper too…. I guess it’s true what they say about great minds.
So true, but so hard for my mind to accept. My soul & the deeper levels of my mind know this. And when I allow it to be, to let God (or the universe) flow through me, everything is so much easier. So much more pleasant.
I was just asking the Universe for help today. It’s always there, but when I ask for it I’m also accepting it…

As I was posting about the same article from Desiring God I followed the link back here. I too found the post a blessing and an encouragement. We have nothing to fear because HE is with us… at times so difficult to remember but the Lord always proves to be closer than we think.
