Reading in the Bible this morning I came face to face with an important question. It flowed out of this story:

After Jesus left the girl’s home [he had just raised her from the dead], two blind men followed along behind him, shouting, “Son of David, have mercy on us!”  They went right into the house where he was staying, and Jesus asked them, “Do you believe I can make you see?” “Yes, Lord,” they told him, “we do.”  Then he touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, it will happen.” And suddenly they could see!

They had a problem = they couldn’t see. This affected their entire lives!

They had heard about Jesus and what He had been doing so they took a chance and asked Him to heal them.

Jesus made them think about their faith with his question, “Do you believe I can make you see?” They had just asked him to heal them so it would seem that there was at least a modicum of faith. It’s almost like He was saying, “Do you REALLY believe?”

They said, “YES! We REALLY believe!” And then it happened… he touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, it will happen.” And suddenly they could see!

Here’s the question that comes from this story, if you got what your faith deserved, what would you get? If you got everything that you are trusting God for, how different would your life be now?
