This past weekend we had a special speaker, Presley Melton! She is nineteen. At 15 she almost died in a car accident. It’s a CRAZY story! Here’s the intro video we shot…

Following her story I preached from Isaiah 40:27-31:

27 O Israel, how can you say the LORD does not see your troubles? How can you say God refuses to hear your case?  28 Have you never heard or understood? Don’t you know that the LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth? He never grows faint or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding.  29 He gives power to those who are tired and worn out; he offers strength to the weak.  30 Even youths will become exhausted, and young men will give up.  31 But those who wait on the LORD will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

It was simply a call to trust God… even when the bottom is falling out… just like Presley and her family did and are doing!

A few thoughts:

  • We had a good number of guests! Thanks for sharing your weekend with us!
  • This was a “preview” service. It gave people a chance to see Church180 and our team a chance to see what a room filled with people looked/felt like!
  • Our building looks amazing! Great job Kim Buchanan and all of our volunteers! Those LONG days have paid off!
  • Our Family180 building looks great too! The kids loved having their own space and so did Pastor Alex!

Next week is re-launch! We’ve got a small picture of what next week will look/feel like! We’re praying and preparing!

Oh how I miss your preaching! Hopefully we’ll be able to come visit you, Sherri & the ladies sometime. Maybe this summer. We’ll see.

    Paul,

Just wanted you to know that I’ll be praying for your re-launch this coming Sunday. I’ll be praying for the homes that receive the mailings, for those who will see the banner and the new sign. May God direct people to you who need a 180 in their life.
