I am always proud to be an American, but tonight I’m especially proud.
The fact that a black man is a candidate for President of the United States, and a lady is candidate for Vice-President is a testimony to American greatness. I celebrate this!
I am always proud to be an American. Even though we have our obvious flaws, we are still the greatest nation on earth. Think about this, you don’t see a mass exodus of people headed to our north or south borders. You don’t see boats packed with families crossing shark filled oceans to get into Cuba or Haiti. You don’t see a mass exodus of people headed over to Russia, China, or Egypt.
Why? Because we are still the land of the free and the home of the brave. A land of equal opportunity, a land that celebrates initiative, rewards risk, and consistently demonstrates compassion on a level that is rarely equaled by other countries.
I am proud to be an American and I celebrate the tremendous accomplishments of Barack Obama and Sarah Palin.
