A strong man

This morning I was reading in Mark 3, and verse 27 struck me:

“No one can enter a strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can rob his house.”

Did you catch that? Tie up the man… destroy the house!

Men! What are the things that could tie you up? An unhealthy drive for success? Pornography? Greed? Procrastination? Lack of knowledge? What is it?

When the man is strong the home is safe. When the man is weak and bound, the home is in peril.

Be strong today man! Be a humble follower of Christ and a strong leader in your home.

Hear these words from St. Paul:

“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love.” (1 Corinthians 16:13-14 NIV)

  1. That is great stuff. We as men are challenged so much by our world to be strong outside the home, be it our job or anything else we do. Great challenge to us men here. I know that if we are strong in our homes all the other things that we wish to be strong in will fall in place, OR won’t matter as much.
